My first out of the country experience-- 3 nights Macau and Ocean Park day tour!
Hmmm, because it passed one year already I can't seem to recall the exact date but it was in May 2009 when I first left my country, Philippines to visit and have a vacation at the nearby country Macau with my girlfriend and her mom.
Our flight was via Cebu Pacific. We got our tickets at a promo a month prior our departure-- at Php5,000 for round trip, it was a blast! Philippines to Macau is only 2 hours apart but since we need to be at the airport 3-4 hours before departure, we left home around 3PM to endure traffic, checking in, immigration line up, etc... I think we departed around 8PM from the Philippines. I was excited and nervous at the same time-- first time, I'll be away from Philippines with my expensive jacket (thought it was cold), but with a cough???-- it was the height of AH1N1 and I was totally nervous at the way those Chinese immigration officers (with mask) looked at each passport/person they checked-- oh boy! But great as it was my turn, I got in and so that was my official acquaintance with Macau... Wei Macau!
>>i'll continue my story in my next post. Oh and by the way, I never got to used my jacket because it was not cold in May, shame on me that I wore it when we landed in Macau and people were looking at me perhaps wondering I was crazy, hahahah!
